Well you've probably noticed this is a part-time blog these days. Alas, life just gets in the way sometimes, and I don't have so much time for restoring vinyl, and so there's not so much music to post.
Still, we love our Stan here at Third Island, and when a friend gave me a copy of "Spain" by the maestro I had to rip it, even though it's appeared in other blogs around the blogosphere.
You know what to expect - sizzling arrangements, castanets a-plenty, maracas by the bushel and fiery Andalusian rhythms to get yer feet tappin'.

Yes, I have noticed a falling off of postings, but life has a way of interfering with our hobbies and we all have these inconvenient things like jobs, families, etc. And in truth, I just remind myself that all this music we all enjoy so much is FREE and you, or some other blogger, has gone to the considerable trouble of posting it, just out of generosity and the fun of sharing your collection, and I can have no complaints. Since I started downloading from various music blogs, the depth and importance of my collection has increased a thousand fold and all due to generous people like you. Anything you post, however infrequently, will always be appreciated.

So much to chose from and so little time to listen to it all, but I now have a great collection to listen to in my retirement. Like that's ever gonna happen. But this is a great blog for stirring the memories.
Keep up the great work.
And thanks, many thanks.
This Stanley Black is great music and recording. Thanks for doing such a masterful transfer. London Phase 4 was generally a good series. Stanley Black did a lot of good arrangements. Preserved digitally for perpetuity. Priceless!!!
